Text-to-Speech Delivery
Stour’s Text-to-Speech (TTS) service enables the conversion of SMS messages into automated voice calls for delivery over our SIP network. This ensures that critical information can still be communicated when SMS delivery is not possible, or customers are unable to read/receive an SMS, expanding reach and maintaining service continuity.
TTS is ideally suited for transactional use cases, such as one-time passcodes, parcel delivery updates, and service notifications.
As with all Stour’s services, our TTS service is hosted on our resilient, cloud-native, mobile operator infrastructure.
Simple Integration
Access via Stour’s SMS integration for seamless campaign execution. Clients can choose either SMPP or HTTPS connectivity to send their SMS to Stour for TTS conversion and delivery.
Reliable Calls
Clients are advised to respect Telephone Preference Service (TPS) registrations where applicable, and observe quiet hours when using TTS. Stour will work with clients to support UK best practice for reliable and reputable call delivery over our carrier network.
User Experience Testing
TTS is recommended for short, clear, transactional content where messages can be delivered in a clear and user friendly manner. Our team of engineers will work with clients to test and refine their message templates for optimum TTS conversion and delivery.
Mobile and fixed lines
Originally launched for fixed line message delivery, TTS is now available for mobile subscribers too, enabling Stour’s clients to delivery accessibility requirements, provide user choice, and reach those unable to read traditional SMS.
